EPW - George Linsley, Leeds, lever fusee, 47mm, 18K OF original case bearing London hallmarks for 1866 and with casemaker's mark R R in oval cameo, gold cuvette engraved with 1866 presentation and rear shield of case with initials, KWKS, cream colored enamel dial, lever escapement with capped escape and lever operating on an unjeweled pivot, 15J, gilt mvt, s#60368 with matched case serial. Gross weight of assembled watch 54.9 dwt (85.4 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Started ticking sluggishly on full wind but stopping frequently, OH needed, fine mvt condition overall, fingerprint etching on gilt plates; dial near perfect with faint hl below seconds-register; excellent gold hour and minute hands, fine blue seconds-hand; case rear is missing lift spring, case shows light wear, typical MFS, no dents or dings, ET to rear is lost at shoulders; tight bow, push has lost majority of its gold cap; good glass crystal.
